Batas Pambansa Bilang 220 and its latest implementing rules and regulations (IRR) duly promulgated by the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) deals with mandated compliances relating to the physical planning, design, development, construction and use of socialized housing and resettlement sites, and the pertinent dwelling units. Please note that BP220 is of a decidedly lower building standard if compared with either PD1096 or PD957. As such, the review for compliances, and the implementation and enforcement of BP220 may not necessarily fall within the jurisdiction of the LGU Office of the Building Official (OBO).
